Reliable, interference-free communication between air traffic controllers and aircraft is non-negotiable. Imperial East Africa deploys certified aeronautical communication systems from ground-to-air VHF radio through to satellite-based communication links — all compliant with ICAO Annex 10 standards.

Scope of Services:

VHF Ground-to-Air Communication Systems

High-power, extended-range VHF radio transceivers for controller-to-pilot communication at airports, en-route stations, and offshore platforms. Includes remote transmitter/receiver sites for extended coverage.

VHF Radio Network Management

Centralised control and switching of multiple VHF frequencies across a single ATC facility, with automatic frequency assignment and monitoring.

HF Communication Systems

High-frequency radio infrastructure for long-range oceanic and remote area communications beyond VHF range. SELCAL Systems: Selective calling systems for alerting specific aircraft on HF or VHF channels without continuous monitoring by the flight crew.

Ground-to-Ground Communication Infrastructure

Internal ATC hotline systems, direct speech circuits, and intercom systems between ATC units, fire services, and airport operations.

Digital Voice Switching Systems (DVSS)

IP-based voice communication switching for ATC facilities — replacing legacy analogue systems with scalable, software-defined switching architecture.
